Yes, there is an accredited certificate that is granted to the volunteer according to certain regulations.
There is no requirement for a specific specialty to volunteer. There are many activities for volunteers at the Egyptian Red Crescent that require different academic backgrounds.
It is a free introductory seminar on the activities of the Egyptian Red Crescent and its volunteering system.
During it we:
• Present of the history and activities of the Egyptian Red Crescent.
• Answer the questions and inquiries of those wishing to volunteer.
• Conduct personal interviews and fill out the volunteering form.
• Anyone wishing to volunteer with the Egyptian Red Crescent.
• New volunteers who have not attended the Induction Day before (note that activities
are not allowed until after attending the Induction Day).
1- Emergency Response Team: it is a team that is present in emergencies and disasters to provide first aid to those affected, in addition to establishing shelter camps and other necessary relief work that ensures the preservation of the dignity of those affected and their appropriate necessary needs.
2- Psychosocial Support Team: It provides mental health and psychosocial support services in emergency and non-emergency situations such as: oncology patients, those affected by violence, as well as responding to psychological questions for different age groups.
3- Healthy and Safety Program: To be a certified volunteer trainer in a health and safety program, which is an educational awareness program for children that is implemented inside public and private schools.
4- Health Services Team: through the Egyptian Red Crescent clinics and mobile medical convoys that serve all Egyptian governorates for all segments of society, and you can also join the team of managing and organizing the convoys.
5- Health Promotion Team: It works to create health messages and work to disseminate them and promote proper health behaviors through field and home visits, public campaigns, as well as responding to inquiries and questions through social media.
6- Emergency Operations Center: Available in some branches, the EOC follows up with all branches and volunteers around the clock on field missions and activities carried out by the different ERC teams as well as prepare and respond effectively to various disasters.
